Twitter is such an incredible resource. I followed E_Stampede yesterday and received a direct message from them to visit their site, which is dedicated to teaching GOP candidates the benefits of online marketing during campaigns.
I found a very interesting article on their homepage – Online Political Campaign Study. This says it all. Candidates need to be thinking about internet marketing and social media. Those that do, get ahead. Here is the summary of the case study:
Effective communications is the lifeblood of politics and technology relating to how we communicate is rapidly evolving. It is imperative that our Republican candidates in 2010 are as informed and up to date as possible about new developments in this field.
And don’t forget about blog strategy. Use blogs like this one to promote your news and issues. You need friendly, yet objective online sources to build up your link strategy and rank well in the search engines.
